Brian Shak, Physical Therapist
A native of Bethlehem, PA, Brian Shak, MSPT earned his Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the Institute of Physical Therapy at Widener University. He has also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University's School of Medicine and has completed a certificate program in Health and Medical Services Administration at the School of Business at Widener University.
Brian has lived in the Philadelphia area and has been working as a Physical Therapist for over 10 years and as an Adjunct University Professor. Brian has also worked for many years as an Exercise Physiologist and Medical Fitness Trainer for a variety of rehabilitation facilities.
As a Physical Therapist, Brian worked previously for the Mercy Health System providing care to patients at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, Mercy Community Hospital of Havertown, Misericordia Hospital, Roxborough Hospital and The Center for Hearing & Balance. He specializes in Orthopedics, Industrial Rehab, and Balance and Vestibular Disorders.
As a member of both the National and Pennsylvania Chapters of the American Physical Therapy Association, Brian continually refines his skills and keeps abreast of the latest research and technology. He has donated his time at the Philadelphia Rowing Club for the Disabled and has received many honors for clinical excellence and his contribution to research.
Judy Morrison, Physical Therapist
Judy Morrison has been a physical therapist with Advance Physical Therapy since 2013. She received her Bachelors of Science and her Masters of Physical Therapy degrees in 1993 from The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
Judy initially worked in an inpatient facility where she focused on strokes and brain injuries, eventually serving as Team Leader in that area. In 2002, she began working in outpatient facilities, and for the last 15 years has specialized in orthopedics. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor at the Hahnemann University school of Physical Therapy from 1994-1997. She is fluent in American Sign Language. She has extensive experience volunteering with adaptive sports
(sports for people with disabilities), and has been a volunteer with the Pennsylvania Center for Adapted Sports since 1993, focusing on teaching individuals with physical and intellectual impairments rowing and skiing. She has also been the Head of Classification for the International Rowing Federation (FISA) since 2006. She is an avid runner and cyclist and enjoys sailing and camping.
Julissa, Billing and Insurance Specialist
Julissa is our billing and insurance specialist. She will communicate, process, and reconcile all insurance related information in a timely manner. She is also an aspiring chef and is currently enrolled in a culinary program.
Gina, Administrative Assistant
Gina is our administrative assistant. She will assist you in appointment scheduling and answer any questions prior to arrival.
